A Restful Night experience
Working with a sleep consultant is a foreign concept for some. Can I work with you virtually? How does the program work? What can I expect from the two week full support program? These are common questions I get asked during a complimentary sleep consultation with parents. Here is a peak into how the program works and what to expect!
Working with A Restful Night means you’ll get equal parts instructor, coach and mentor! Our goal is to deliver a plan that instructs you how to facilitate independent sleep and teach you along the way so you feel empowered and confident to manage your child’s sleep long term!
With your commitment and follow through, our two-week program is a guaranteed way to get your family on track and sleeping well. Here’s how it works…
Step 1: Comprehensive Intake: Having a clear understanding of your child is so important to setting up a successful plan. The first step in our process is an online intake questionnaire which will give us a glimpse into your child’s day to day, including routines, schedules, personality, your overall family life and more!
Step 2: Sleep Assessment: We will do a thorough review of the intake and spend a 60 minute session with you to discuss your goals, challenges and concerns. We will explore different approaches for tackling your child’s sleep troubles to ensure it fits with your parenting style and your child’s temperament.
Step 3: Customized Sleep Plan: You will receive a customized sleep plan for your child with all the details needed to get your little one on track and sleeping! The sleep plan will include routine, schedule advice, a detailed sleep training plan and much more. This plan is your guidebook and will give you the tools you need as a parent to guide your child to A Restful Night!
Step 4: Daily Sleep Log Analysis: As part of our daily support you will provide details on a shared sleep log which will be reviewed daily to identify any trends or modifications that may be helpful.
Step 5: Support: There is no magic wand for sleep training! Don’t worry you will not be alone in this process. You will receive daily support by text and email for two weeks. We can even schedule weekly check in calls if you have detailed questions. We will be right there with you throughout the process to ensure you have the support and accountability you need!
All of the above is done virtually! Yes, that means you are coached daily via the ease of text and email. Many people ask whether this will be enough support -- from my experience and the experience of many parents it is!
Usually the first week is focused on the parents receiving coaching and instruction. This ensures that both the parents and child are grasping onto the plan and that we are seeing progress. As we move into week two, we aim to put the parent in the driver’s seat and switch roles, acting more as an accountability partner and coach -- this ensures when our time together is wrapping up you feel comfortable taking the reins.
